In the world of advancing technology there are so many ways to keep tabs on what products and foods are safe and which have been recalled. Unfortunately, the vast majority of product recall services still require you to take a moment to search them out, be it an email update, on the news or through the product’s website. Now, thanks to a partnership with SheSpeaks and SAP, there is a new way to get updates on the go with Recalls Plus, an innovative app for iPhone, Android and Facebook.

Recalls Plus (also known as Recalls+) was created by a 10 person team of developers, designers and problem solvers. Realizing how important it is that parents don’t miss a recall on their child’s products or foods, they worked around the clock to bring you a solution that can keep up with a parent’s hectic day. Recalls Plus is designed specifically for busy parents like who need to focus on so many other important things in your life.

Recalls Plus – Make a List. Get Alerts. Keep your children safe.

Recalls Plus gives you the ability to search recalls for children’s products and food allergens, keep track of the specific products your children use with a personalized watch list, and share recall news and alerts with your friends.

Recalls Plus tracks national recalls issued by:

  • Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)
  • National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)
  • Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
  • United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)

Then the program matches the recalls to your specified list, and notifies you when it finds a match.

This sounds like a great app. It isn’t available fro the Windows Phone, only iPhone and Android. I love my Windows phone and would never go back to an iPhone. I will have to see if I can download the app for Facebook. Thanks for the post.
