My family loves to play the ‘If you could only have one ___ for the rest of your life” game. A common subject is food. Any time the question is “If you could only have one drink for the rest of your life, what would it be?” my answer is always the same: coffee.

For every occasion or time of year there is a different way to enjoy coffee. Hot in the winter or on chilly mornings. Frozen for an evening get together or special treat. Smoothies for a mid day refreshment. And iced for those warm days or on the go. I love iced coffee in the afternoon for a fast work-time pick me up, but I hated the steps it took to make the perfect glass. Now, thanks to International Delight, I can get delicious iced coffee — that tastes even better than making it myself — in just one step.

Knowing my unrelenting love of all things coffee, International Delight asked me to try out their newest product before it even hit the shelves. They sent me all three flavors (Original, Vanilla and Mocha) in the easy to use half gallon cartons – ready to pour. They also sent a really cool insulated cup so I could keep my coffee cold while I worked at my desk – how sweet it is!  The coffee came packaged in ice so they were ready to try the moment I opened the box.

The best part about my coffee addiction? I am the only member of my family that likes coffee. I couldn’t believe I had all this creamy goodness to myself! As soon as I opened the box I could smell the coffee (THE best smell in the world). I wasn’t sure which one I wanted to try first – so I decided to start with the basics: Original. One quick shake and I was ready to pour my first glass. I was really impressed with the creamy texture; just like my favorite iced selections at our local coffee house.

Throughout the day I tried each different flavor (yes, I drink coffee all day long):

1. Original
   This is a great starter in the morning or after a meal. The flavor is light but distinct with a nice roasted after taste. It’s not too sweet so it doesn’t seem overwhelming or too much like a dessert.
2. Vanilla
   Probably my least favorite of the three, but only because I LOVE sweet coffee and the sweetness of this variety is on the lighter side. Though, it’s likely to be enjoyed by anyone who is a casual coffee drinker or likes to use coffee in recipes. I’d definitely recommend this one for smoothies and frozen creations.
3. Mocha
   My favorite. Mocha is a favorite flavor of mine no matter which version of coffee I’m drinking and I was very impressed with International Delight’s take on it. I found the sweetness to be just right and the chocolate flavor was blended nicely without being so overbearing that I felt like I was drinking chocolate milk like some other premixed iced coffees.

After the cartons had a full night to chill in the fridge I found that I didn’t even need to use ice if I just wanted a quick glass to recharge. It was just as good straight up. I finished all three half gallons in four days. You heard me: 1.5 gallons of iced coffee in 4 days. I keep telling you guys that I love coffee, but I don’t think you quite understand my obsession…until now! I was actually sad when I poured my last glass. Luckily International Delight will be releasing this amazing trio to Walmart stores nationwide on January 15th — so keep an eye on the dairy section!
