Three Custom Color Specialists asked me to try out their line of cosmetics for myself. I opted to try their ready made lines so that I could test their quality and coverage. The first item I selected was their brow powder in #5.

My eyebrows are the first thing I work on and the last thing I check before leaving the house. They create the frame for your eyes and can make, or break, your look. That’s why it’s important to have a powder that is both smooth and perfectly matched. Three Custom offers six pre-made brow powder shades will blend beautifully with your natural hair color. I found that the color is absolutely true to the site and doesn’t cake like other store brands. I also noticed it has a more creamy texture and doesn’t get dusty or crumble like other brow powders I’ve used. Since you can use these powders both wet and dry – they also make great eye liners or matte eye shadows.

The second item I selected was the Simply Beautiful Sheer Lipstick. Simply Beautiful is a color known to be universal and look good on all skin types. It is a few shades darker than natural lip color, so it is the perfect compliment to both a night out or just a coffee date in the afternoon. I’d heard about this shade in several magazines and online articles and I was eager to try it.

When I first opened the Simply Beautiful lipstick, I thought it was too dark. I’ve never enjoyed wearing dark red lipstick colors because my skin is quite pale. However, as soon as I tried it on I realized this was no ordinary lipstick. The color blended with my own facial shades and truly is a deeper version of your natural lip color. I’m sure the matte finish version will be slightly darker, but the sheer was perfect in both coverage and color. It was enough tint to show that you were wearing something, but not so much that you would feel the need to do your eyes, cheeks and everything else to balance it out. It also left my lips very soft and smooth and wore off evenly instead of leaving that annoying outline you see with so many store brands. I think I’ve found my new ‘every day’ lipstick.
